Possible Route Adjustments and Detour

There is major road construction along hwy 80 that will affect leg 3.  Although the construction is scheduled to be completed by the 2021 relay and bike ride, it is not guaranteed.  In the case that road construction is still going on during the 2021 event, there will be slight changes in order to keep all participants safe.   Please read the changes below very carefully:

Relay Teams (Runners/Walkers)
In the case the construction is still going on, relay teams will not be allowed to walk/run through the work zone.  Teams will pick up the person running leg 3 at a designated location.  This will end leg 3.  The team will then drive through the work zone in their team vehicle.  The team will drop off the runner for leg 4 at the designated location once exiting the work zone. This will begin leg 4.  The normal route will continue from this point.

Single Person Teams
If you are a single participant, you will be picked up at the designated location and carried through the work zone.  You will be dropped off at the designated location and will continue the route.

Cyclists
Cyclists will take a detour so that they will bypass the work zone.  This will add an additional 8 miles to the route.  

We would like to be proactive and make each participant aware of the possible adjustments to the route.  This information is subject to change as we get closer to the event.  Please continue to check the site for updates. 

Registration Information
It is the responsibility of the Team Captain to register the team and pay the register fee. The Team Captain should register the team at:

The cost of registration is listed below:
Runners:     $100 per runner
Cylists without Transport:     $75
Cycists with Transport:     $100 
Virtual Runners:     $50
Virtual Cyclists:     $50

Start Time:  Cyclists will start at 6:30 am.  Walkers/Runners will start right after cyclists.
Completion Time: 12:00 hours from start time

Awards Ceremony
All finishers of the relay will receive a finisher’s medal.  
The awards ceremony will take place during the race after party.
Awards will be given to the top finishing teams in each category within each division.  The categories are as follows:
Overall Ultra: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Overall Regular:  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place

​Ultra Male Team - All Males 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Ultra Female Team-All Females 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Ultra Co-ed Team-All Ultra Co-ed Teams with 2 or 4 members must have 50% males and 50% females to qualify as an Ultra Co-ed Team.  All Ultra Co-ed Teams with 3 members must have 2 females and 1 male to qualify as an Ultra Co-ed Team.   
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place

Regular Male- All Males  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place 
Regular Female- All Females  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Regular Co-ed-Teams with 6 or 8 members must have 50% males and 50% females to qualify as a Regular Co-ed Team.  Teams with 5, 7, or 9 members must have 1 more female than males to qualify as a Regular Co-ed Team.  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place

Cyclists Awards:
Males  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Females  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
